TICKETBEE (Pty) Ltd - Guest Terms and Conditions

Last Updated: 4 September 2025

PLEASE READ THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS CAREFULLY. BY ACCESSING OUR WEBSITE OR PURCHASING A TICKET, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ, UNDERSTOOD, AND AGREED TO BE BOUND BY THE TERMS OUTLINED BELOW.

1. Introduction and Our Role

Welcome to TICKETBEE (Pty) Ltd ("TICKETBEE", "we", "us", "our"). We provide an online platform that allows you, the user ("you", "guest", "ticket holder"), to purchase tickets for various events.

1.1. Our Role as an Agent: It is crucial to understand that TICKETBEE acts solely as a limited agent for the third-party event organisers, promoters, and venues ("Event Organiser"). We facilitate the sale of tickets, but the contract for the actual event is between you and the Event Organiser.

1.2. Limitation of Liability: TICKETBEE is not responsible for the planning, promotion, quality, content, postponement, or cancellation of any event. All liability related to the event itself rests exclusively with the Event Organiser. Any claims you may have regarding the event should be directed to the Event Organiser.

2. Ticket Purchases and Payments

2.1. Pricing and Fees: All ticket prices are displayed in South African Rand (ZAR) and are inclusive of Value-Added Tax (VAT), where applicable. The total amount you pay consists of:

  • The Face Value of the ticket, set by the Event Organiser.
  • A Booking Fee, which is our charge for providing the booking service. This Booking Fee is non-refundable in all circumstances, including event cancellation.

2.2. Payment: We use Yoco, a secure and trusted third-party payment gateway, to process all card transactions. TICKETBEE does not receive or store your full credit or debit card details, ensuring your financial information remains secure.

2.3. Order Confirmation: Your ticket purchase is only complete once you have successfully made payment and received a confirmation email from us containing your valid ticket(s) or QR code. If you do not receive this confirmation, please contact our support team.

2.4. Sales are Final: Once purchased, tickets cannot be cancelled, exchanged, or refunded, except as outlined in Clause 3 below or as required by applicable South African law.

3. Event Cancellations, Postponements, and Refunds

3.1. Cancellation: If an event is cancelled by the Event Organiser, they are solely responsible for providing refunds to ticket holders. TICKETBEE will only process refunds to you after we have been officially instructed and have received the required funds from the Event Organiser to do so. We will notify you via email if an event is cancelled and provide instructions on the refund procedure. As stated in Clause 2.1, our Booking Fee is non-refundable.

3.2. Postponement or Rescheduling: If an event is postponed or rescheduled, your original ticket will typically be valid for the new date. The Event Organiser's specific policies will apply. It is your responsibility to check for any date changes. TICKETBEE is not liable for any costs incurred due to a rescheduled event.

3.3. Chargebacks: You agree to first contact TICKETBEE to resolve any payment disputes. Initiating a chargeback with your bank without prior communication may result in you being barred from using our service in the future. TICKETBEE reserves the right to dispute any chargeback it deems to be a breach of these terms.

4. Ticket Use and Event Admission

4.1. Ticket Delivery: Your ticket(s) will be delivered electronically to the email address you provided during checkout.

4.2. Responsibility: You are responsible for keeping your tickets safe. TICKETBEE is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged tickets.

4.3. Admission: The Event Organiser reserves the right to refuse admission to an event and to request that ticket holders leave the event. TICKETBEE is not responsible for any issues related to your admission to an event.

4.4. Resale: The unauthorised resale of tickets is strictly prohibited. Any ticket found to be resold may be cancelled without a refund.

5. Data Protection and Privacy

We are committed to protecting your personal information in compliance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

Our comprehensive Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms, details how we collect, use, and protect your data.

By purchasing a ticket, you consent for us to share your necessary contact details (e.g., name and email address) with the Event Organiser of the specific event you have booked for event administration and communication purposes.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including the TICKETBEE name, logo, branding, and software, is the exclusive property of TICKETBEE (Pty) Ltd and is protected by intellectual property laws.

7. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute arising from these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Magistrate's Court in Stellenbosch, Western Cape.
